3 Pompeii & the wines of Mt. Vesuvius
Morning guided tour of Pompeii, an enormous open-air museum offering a window into the world of the Romans, and is rightly one of the most important Roman sites anywhere. Afternoon stop on the famous volcano to get a sample of the fine wines that are cultivated in the rich volcanic soil on the Vesuvian slopes, with stunning views of the Bay of Naples. Boat transfer to Ischia before dinner.
