The sister garrison of Forte di Tenna, located on the hill on the south side of the lake, served as a observation post and storage facility due to its secluded position behind the front line. We will visit the well-preserved fortress, which houses important historical documents and offers a stunning view of the town of Levico.

Difference in altitude: 450 m
Level: moderate

Today we head to the elegant city of Trento and take the cable car from the city centre to the small suburb of Sardagna. The itinerary begins in the little village and offers a circular route through beautiful chestnut woods, also providing stunning panoramic views of the Adige Valley. This green area is of particular importance due to its significant natural value. Noteworthy are the ancient chestnut trees, hazelnuts, hornbeams, Scots pines, beeches, and field maples, which host numerous animal species. After returning to Trento by cable car, your clients can enjoy lunch (not included) in one of the many local restaurants. In the afternoon, a guided tour of the picturesque old town will bring us closer to the history and art of the city.

Since autumn 2016, the villa’s garden has been open to visitors and hosts works by internationally renowned artists. A walk will take us to Malga Costa, the heart of the art park. Here, we will have the chance to explore a vast park and discover magnificent wooden sculptures and installations, perfectly integrated into the natural environment, including the famous Forest Cathedral. The day ends with a visit to the picturesque village of Borgo Valsugana, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages. Dominated by the imposing Castel Telvana, the town is crossed by the Brenta River, which lends it a charming Venetian touch.
