Day 2 Christmas markets of Bolzano and Trento
In the morning, we drive north to Bolzano, a captivating town where the Alps meet the Mediterranean, blending two distinct cultures and languages. Here, Tyrolean traditions and cuisine merge seamlessly with southern Italian influences, creating a truly unique atmosphere. The Christmas markets come alive with the enchanting aromas of cinnamon and spices, offering a delightful selection of local delicacies, handcrafted gifts, and beautifully decorated candles. Today you have a relaxing day to explore the lakeside resort of Riva del Garda. Take in a stroll along the lakeside promenade or explore the narrow streets of the old town
Day 4 Christmas Markets of Canale and Rango
Today, we visit Canale and Rango for an intimate Christmas market experience. Both towns are members of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages, an association dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage and traditions of the country’s most picturesque and historically significant villages. Canale, a medieval gem rediscovered by artists in the 1960s, invites you to explore its cobbled streets and savor local delicacies like Carne Salada. In Rango, the market is set in cozy porches and cellars, where artisans showcase centuries-old crafts. Both villages offer a charming, authentic holiday experience, brimming with history and festive spirit.

This 900-year-old fortress boasts grand staterooms and 16th-century frescoes. We then travel through the Cavedine Valley to Drena Castle, built on a prehistoric settlement. Once an impregnable stronghold, it guarded the route from Trento to Lake Garda. Your guide will share its rich history. We’ll also visit a local distillery to sample grappa, before concluding with a stroll through Arco and its hilltop castle ruins.
