Cycle from Chianciano towards the Lake of Montepulciano, passing through the homonymous natural reserve. The trail continues through the Val di Chiana, ascending towards the Umbrian hills and reaching Lake Trasimeno. Following the cycle path around the lake, the tour ends in the charming village of Passignano. Back to Chianciano by coach.

Today’s trip starts in Chianciano and reaches the heart of Val d' Orcia along the gravel road of Poggiardelli. First stop at the perfectly restored ancient village of Monticchiello. The tour continues on proceeds along the iconic white road of the Val, culminating in Pienza, renowned for its remarkable architecture and delectable regional specialties, such as pecorino cheese. After a break to explore the fascinating centre, the trail ascends to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the renowned cypress tree-lined road. Before cycling back to the hotel, stop at a diary for a cheese tasting.

4 Montepulciano and the Crete Senesi [No coach transfers required for this excursion]
Paved white roads leads to the small village of Poliziano and the more famous Montepulciano, known for its Vino Nobile and the underground cellars with cathedral vaulted ceilings. The tour continues along one of the most beautiful paths of the region through the Crete Senesi, a very suggestive part of the unique Tuscan landscape. Final break in Montefollonico, a small jewel surrounded by 13th-century terracotta walls, before cycling back to Chianciano.

Start in Abbadia San Salvatore to admire one of the most mystical abbeys of Tuscany. The tour continues along the slopes of the extinct volcano Monte Amiata, winding through the Val d’Orcia to Sant'Antimo, home to the imposing 9th-century Abbey. Conclude the day in Montalcino, the heart of the world-renowned wine territory. Relaxing break in this small town; beyond the fine Brunello wine, Montalcino offers some great historic sites, such as its 14th-century fortress and dozens of characteristic shops selling artisanal products and local specialities.
